This morning, after our final official paperwork, we got back to the hotel and have been holed up ever since. We’re planning on doing some touring tomorrow, so the plan has been to get some quality bonding in today. It’s gone mostly well, especially since we’ve figured out The Secret of the Bottle™.
Still, keeping him entertained is a bit of a challenge. We could probably rock him to sleep anytime, but we know that will bite us overnight. After his dinnertime feeding, we decided to give him a bath. He needed it, but it was also just an activity. Afterwards, Kathleen put him in a sleeper and she made the executive decision to throw some music on. I didn’t want too high energy, but something he might at least notice. I queued up Barenaked Ladies’ Gordon, and with just a hint of encouragement from Kathleen, he started bouncing around and waving his arms and smiling.
So yeah, BNL FTW.

The grandparents make Daisy listen to Keith Urban, which she pretends to like. She definitely prefers bands like old Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, or Pokey Lafarge.

He’s sitting up and holding his head up and everything!!! That’s more than I thought he might be able to to do – woohoo!!

Is doing any scooting, or crawling type actions?
He totally poses! When the camera comes out, he looks right at it. It’s actually funny, because it’s hard to photograph what he’s doing, since he always stops when we try to take a picture.
No scooting or crawling. He hates tummy time, and only tolerates being on his back when he’s already asleep. Mostly, he just wants to be held. I’m so glad we brought the Ergo carrier (baby bjorn type thing). Like I said in a previous post, we’ll challenge him on these things when we get home.
Can’t wait to meet him! He is a precious little boy. Will pray that the bonding and adjustment continues to go well. May the Holy Family watch over and protect your new family! Hugs to all of you!!!

Well of course he was bouncing around. Not understanding English that well, he thought the song said he HAD a million dollars! But he’s got even more – he’s got the two of you.
